How do you pray?

“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4 19-24)

At the moment, it is not possible for us to come together in a building to worship God. But what place is the right place for worship of God?

Jesus tells them that the place of worship is not nearly as important as the inner attitude of the worshippers. God is not confined to just one place. God is a spirit that is present everywhere and can be heard anytime and anywhere. It doesn’t matter where it is, it depends on how we do it.

How do you pray? How do you pray to God? How do you spend time with him? Are you distracted by your habitual surroundings? Is Corona distracting you?

Prayer:Lord, no other God equals you, and no one can do what you do. (Psalm 86.8) What you say is reliable and true. You’re that

Alpha and the omega —  The Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life..

(Rev. 21, 5+6) For it is you, Lord, who gives me a stop. Even if the earth is bursting and the people are in turmoil, it is you that will hold our foundations.

(Psalms 75,4) You are worthy of being worshipped in spirit and truth! Here and now! Holy Spirit you help us and pray for us.

(Romans 8,26) You are the God of Signs and Miracles! You have shown your power to the people.

(Psalms 77,15) and I now pray that you fill us in and help us to direct our eyes to you, the source of all hope. Let our hope become more and more unshakable through the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Romans 15, 13) You say, Lord, that We don’t need to worry about anything. And you want us to turn to you with requests and supplications and with gratitude in every situation. (Philippians 4.6).

You, Holy Spirit, help us. You pray for us.

Let the peace that Christ gives rule in your hearts. As parts of one body, you were appointed to live in peace. And be thankful.

(Collosians 3,15)

And I don’t want to stop praying your word! I want us to continue praying after this prayer. No matter where, no matter when, no matter how. That our day is a single prayer …
